In order to advance and promote the government of Nepal's information technology industry, National Information Technology was founded in 2001 AD. The government of Nepal developed the Government Integrated Data Center as a central data center to offer a secure and dependable platform for hosting and administering government data and applications. It is a crucial part of the government's initiatives to update its IT infrastructure, encourage cloud computing, and enhance the provision of public services online.

Hence, on Baisakha 31, 2079 (14 May 2019), the Government of Nepal established the Disaster Recovery Center (DRC). A disaster recovery center is a crucial part of an organization's overall business continuity and preparedness plan. In order to ensure that an organization can recover swiftly in the case of a disaster or disruption, it offers a secure and dependable area to store and manage backup data and applications.

The information technology strategies adopted to accomplish the above-mentioned objectives of rapid development and expansion of information technology in a fair and competitive environment shall be the following:
